01 Jul Silo – 23 Emily Place – Building Profile
An Echo Of Auckland Past.
Just down the ridge from the Auckland University clock tower, tucked betwen the legal district and the bustling harbour side, lies one of Auckland city’s original residential precincts.
It’s network of curving streets retain much of their original character and are home to a number of small apartment blocks of varying architectural styles, constructed here in the early to mid 20th century.
The Silo is a 130 unit development constructed inside the old Northern Roller Mills grain silo. The developers have keep the facade and some of the original features.
The building comprises predominantly studio apartments most of which have their own carparks (a great feature when carparks in the CBD are so sought after).
The apartments are well appointed and have generous balconies, which give a superb indoor/outdoor flow. The Silo is on the edge of Emily park and apartments that face this side enjoy a green outlook. Views on the other side include a cityscape and higher up apartments often have seaviews.
Gym, sauna, roof garden and large lounge area.
A UNIQUE FEATURE OF THIS BUILDING IS A CONFERENCE FACILITY AVAILABLE TO TENANTS, ALONG WITH AN OUTDOOR AREA
Emily Place is a quiet haven in the centre of New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland. Shops and supermarket are close at hand and there’s plenty of restaurants and foodhalls in the area to enjoy.
